Well it’s finally done – kind of. Our previous website was meant to be no more than a holding page until we got ourselves sorted out, but these things being what they are it took a lot longer than anticipated to get the real thing up and running. I take solace from the fact that it took the Australian Federal Government sixty one years to move from their temporary Parliament to the real thing. That makes my twelve month delay look a model of efficiency.

You will excuse the paucity of content but keep coming back and I promise it will get better. Over the next couple of months we will be adding features, including videos and chats with our creators as well as previews of the upcoming titles and other content exclusive to the website. Keep an eye out too for the new online store which will sell not only our titles but a few surprises as well.

Since the release of The Dark Detective I have been contacted by many people around the world seeking a local distributor. At this stage the book is only available through Australian newsagents or from January directly through this website. I am hoping that will change in the new year so our US and European readers can obtain the book a bit more easily. I will keep you posted on progress.

I should note at this point that we have just shipped our first order through our new Australian book distributor, One Stop Entertainment. From what I understand they are destined for your local Leading Edge store so keep your eyes peeled.

I will be keeping this blog up to date – just some thoughts on what it’s like to be one of only a handful of commercial comic publishers in Australia. Hopefully there will be one or two interesting bits and pieces about the actual printing of the books too, as in addition to publishing we also serve as printers to much of the local independent industry. I am looking forward to annoying my staff by taking photos of them at work and posting them here so you can all see how much craft goes into the production of the books.
