You may be wondering where the promised webstore is. Me too.
We are trying something a little bit different with our site's store and we thought we had everything ironed out with domain names and development.
Turns out we made a mistake - we registered our domain with our longstanding domain name provider but the developer requires us to set up the site with a separate registration registrar.
As a result we now need to wait 60 days until we can transfer our domain and set up the store. Apparently this is a requirement for newly registered domains - not that they tell you until you actually try and move your domain from one supplier to another.
I'm sure there's a perfectly good security reason for it but to me it's redolent of the anti-competitive practices of banks - provide as many impediments to people shifting their business as possible and you'll keep more unhappy customers seething within your incompetent organisation, warming up their baseball bats.
Sorry about this - we're going to keep trying to get it sorted out and I will let you know here as soon as we make any progress.
In the meantime, here's some cool stuff from two of our great artists.
Dave Elsey, apart from being a vital part of the art team for The Dark Detective is also an Oscar nominated effects artist. He's recently worked on Where the Wild Things Are and The Wolfman. For the upcoming issue 4 of DD he's been busy coming up with an array of cool gadgets for Bernard Blackmoore, a detective working for the Boneyard. Here's a sample of some of his work that will be on display in issue 4:

Very handy for seeing dead people - and other large things.
Phil Cornell has also graciously allowed us to have a sneak peak at some the concept drawings he put together when working up The Dark Detective. Phil, Chris and Dave are all avid Holmesians so you can see from the designs below a strong emphasis on adhering to Doyle's descriptions of Sherlock was present from day one.

Hope this tides you over until we have better news.
Til later.
